Efforts to keep campuses open is focus of panel discussion with Siena, UAlbany leaders

ALBANY — The webinar series “Back to Business: Insights on Restarting the Capital Region Economy” turns its attention to the education sector with a new installment featuring Siena College President Chris Gibson and David Holtgrave, dean of the School of Public Health at the state University at Albany.
Both higher education leaders — one from a private college, the other from a public university — are among those trying to manage the challenging work of keeping their campuses safe and functioning during an unprecedented health crisis and the accompanying financial devastation to schools’ budgets.
Moderated by Times Union editor Casey Seiler and streaming live at 9 a.m. Wednesday on the Times Union’s Facebook page as well as YouTube and Twitter, the webinar also features Hugh Johnson and Susan M. Reese of Hugh Johnson Advisors offering an updated assessment of how the regional, state and national economies are doing amid the ongoing strain from seven months of coronavirus.
